Megan joined NERC in 2022. She has nearly a decade of experience in corporate relations. Most recently she led communications and organized all major events at MassBioEd, an organization focused on science education. She has an MBA concentration in energy & environmental sustainability and social impact. Sophie Leone, Development and Program Manager

Sophie joined NERC in the summer of 2023. She is a recent graduate from the University of Maryland with her master's in public policy, specializing in environmental policy. She has dedicated the past two years to advancing her knowledge and experience in policy at the state, national, and international level related to sustainability, waste management, and climate change. Mariane Medeiros, Senior Project Manager

Mariane is an experienced environmental engineer with a strong background in project management, sustainable development, and renewable energy. She effectively led for 6 years multi-disciplinary teams from ideation to implementation. Mariane's expertise includes ISO 14001 certification and agile practices. She has published in international journals on carbon footprint analysis and regional biomass concentration. Her dedication extends beyond academia as she has also lectured for over 5 years on environmental topics. With a passion for positive change, Mariane is committed to contributing her skills to meaningful projects that drive sustainability.
Mary Ann Remolador, Assistant Director

Mary Ann joined NERC in 1995. She has 27 years of experience in sustainable materials management. She has a BS in Natural Resource Economics and an MBA in International Administration. Her background is in community and business development, project/program planning and management, event planning and implementation, loan fund administration, and fundraising.
